About Me.
Hi, I'm Megan, the owner of Magnolia Pawlor. I'm excited for this business to open and see what the future holds. I am a registered nurse and have worked in the NICU, Emergency Room and Hospice care. After my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2024, I had a difficult time returning to work as a nurse. My 2 deer head chihuahuas, Finn and Ellie, had a litter of 3 pups around that time and it spurred a idea that became the Magnolia Pawlor.
I grew up around dogs. My first dog was a long haired Chihuahua named Lady. She once won the "Ugly Dog" trophy at the Tobacco festival in Lake City, SC. She wants ugly, she just needed a trim. My mom's parents always had dogs; pit bulls, German shepherds, Labs and at one time they had 3 chihuahuas. My dad's parents love Boston terriers and I remember Jake and Max fondly.
In high school I worked at a place called Fraley Farms, LLC in Lake City, SC. I met the owner while looking for a horse. We hit it off and I did everything from washing dogs to giving basic riding lessons to beginners. She was a groomer and I always loved to watch the process. I would bath and dry the dog and she would go to work with clippers and scissors. I knew at that time I wanted to be a groomer, but was pulled into nursing. It was difficult to find grooming schools during that time. None were offered online like today. I am happy to be at a place in life where I can pursue my passion for animals and share all the love I have for animals I hope you will trust me to care for your precious pets like my own, (I have 7, lol)

We are committed to delivering exceptional pet care services, including grooming, boarding, daycare, puppy purchases and other pet services. Our focus is on creating a positive experience for both pets and pet owners, building lasting relationships based on trust and quality care.
I own and breed deer-head chihuahuas. Our babies come in a variety of color including cream, red, white, black and red, and tri-color. We have short and long coat pups. Call 843-598-6782 to inquire about available pups and waitlists. "Deer-head" or "Deer-legged" Chihuahuas are not an AKC recognized type. The more common "apple-head" Chihuahuas are. These pups are not AKC registered but can be registered with the CKC.
